An Imperial German Navy (Kaiserliche Marine) Leutnant Zur See Shoulder Board Pair Hold Mercer died on March 12Four rows of fine silvered bullion wire, interlaced with red and black threading and wound around a white cord, wrapped in a u shape, in a chevron formation, button hole for uniform attachment and housing a brass button bearing an anchor surmounted by the Imperial crown, severed at the shoulder end, underside in black wool, 28 mm x 118 mm each, band of discolourization appearing on the bullion near the shoulder end, better than very fine.
