Door zijn langere rijpingstijd is deze 'rijke' wijn perfect te schenken bij stoofpotten en wildgerechten. Tevens een mooie wijnkeuze bij pittige, overrijpe kazen, zoals de Bitto, Provolone Picante, Gorgonzola Naturale, Pecorino Siciliano.
