Germany, Third Reich. A Rare Order of the German Eagle, II Class Breast Cross, by Deschler & Sohn Republic of Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen(Verdienstorden vom Deutschen Adler, Kreuz II. Klasse). Instituted 1 May 1937. (1937 1943 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with white enameled arms joined through the quadrants by NSDAP style German national eagles clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on a white enameled disc, the reverse with a barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, stamped with a marked of
