Japan, Empire. Am Order Of The Rising Sun, I Class Grand Cross Sash Archive and June 1915Instituted in 1875. Fabricated from silk, incorporating a decorative moir pattern, with a wide white field in the centre, flanked by wide red stripes on either side, large rosette at the bottom end, measuring 105 mm wide x 820 mm in length, vibrant colours, intact stitching, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Rising Sun is a Japanese order, established in 1875 by Emperor Meiji of Japan. The Order was the first national decoration awarded by
