Germany, Imperial. An Infantry Oberleutnant Shoulder Board Newly Listed to die for my Fatherland(Oberleutnant der Infanterie Schulterklappe). Constructed of a cardboard reinforced red wool base, bearing four rows of silver aluminum wire piping interspersed with red and black threading, pinned with a gilded bronze rank pip, the reverse with a dark blue wool strap, unmarked, measuring 28 mm (w) x 115 mm (l), mothing evident to the wool features, in very fine condition.
