Germany, Imperial. A Silver Grade Wound Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac with a hollow crown and(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath with scalloped edges, surrounding a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a cut out background, the reverse with a narrow barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 37. 51 mm (w) x 42. 72 mm (h), weighing 7. 3 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish, in near extremely fine condition.
