Hemerocallis citrina Yao Ming Malvaviscus Killing frosts in the fallWhen we acquired this wild collected daylily from China as Hemerocallis multiflora, we didn't know what to expect, but were rewarded with an amazing daylily. In midsummer, this daylily produces 5' tall flower spikes that are well branched toward the tip and topped with large, golden yellow, sweetly fragrant flowers that open in the afternoon to attract hummingbirds. The long bloom time, sturdy stems and great branching make this a superb garden
