A 1925 General Gau Honour Badge, Silver Grade by Rudolf Souval, c. 1980 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac rim engraved JOHN T TREAD(Gau Abzeichen fr Mitglieder der NSDAP seit 1925 in Silber). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of an exhibition example produced c. 1980 by Rudolf Souva, Vienna, measuring 47 mm (w) x 47 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
