The fabric is a medium weight cotton with a just off the white color. The cap is nicely built open on the head, to let air coming in and out. It has a beautiful large knot on the front and long ties to tie it under the neck. This baby girl cap is a summer chic textile! I am not really sure of the size though, maybe for a young girl 10 15
