Theres something about the way they move so quietly through the landscape calm, watchful, almost ghostlike in the evening light. This artwork began as a detailed coloured pencil drawing, built up slowly layer by layer to capture the softness of the owls feathers and that unmistakable heart shaped face. I wanted the finished piece to feel peaceful and still. The kind of artwork that quietly sits in a room and draws
