the clumps are topped with 14" scapes of dark violet flowers

but is also incredibly drought tolerant

it really doesn't require any garden maintenance since it dies back to the ground on its own in fall

Rohdea 'Gunjaku' is essentially a larger version of Rohdea 'Mure Suzume', if not the same clone. Each thick, evergreen leaf is frosted with longitudinal white streaks which coalesce to form an interesting creamy white border. When mature, expect a 10" tall x 15" wide clump, topped with short stalks of red berries in winter. Rohdea 'Gunjaku' is perfect for a dry shade site
